A relatively new and rapidly developing field,
nanomedicine and nano-delivery systems use
materials at the nanoscale for targeted,
controlled delivery of medicinal medicines as
well as diagnostic instruments. With the ability
to precisely and specifically distribute
therapeutic molecules to specified sites,
nanotechnology has significant benefits for the
treatment of chronic illnesses. Current uses
include a wide range of nanomedicine
applications, including as biological,
immunotherapeutic, and chemotherapeutic drugs
for treating various medical ailments.
An updated synopsis of current developments in
the fields of nanomedicines and nano-based drug
delivery systems is given in this thorough
analysis. It critically looks at how nanomaterials
are used to identify disease marker molecules,
which allows for selective illness detection, and
to improve the efficacy of both new and old
medications (such as natural products). The
paper also discusses the opportunities and
difficulties involved in bringing nanomedicines
from natural or synthetic sources to actual
clinical use.
The paper also provides insights into current
developments and potential future directions in
the field of nanomedicine.
